Does anyone know if it's possible to either:

1 - Integrate the two systems to view data on the Garmin ChartPlotter (741xs).
2 - Re-Wire or wire-in-series the depthfinder for reading on the Garmin.

I attached a photo of the schematic from the manual but don't see anything for NMEA.

If you have any questions, let me know

Do you know if I need a NMEA starter kit or can I just connect the Mercury gateway directly to the garmin?

Yes, you need NMEA backbone, and starterkit (Gamrin / Lowrance/ Simrad) is perfect start.

All your devices are connected to the backbone, garmin and gateway (and other N2K devices)

The backbone need to be terminated at both ends and need a powersupply (12v)
