Admiral and I spent Saturday evening out on the water. Couldn't overnight as our daughter decided she wanted us home.

We launched from Navarre Beach around 5 pm despite the weather on weather.gov

SMALL CRAFT EXERCISE CAUTION

SOUTHEAST WINDS 10 TO 15 KNOTS INCREASING TO AROUND 20
KNOTS. SEAS 2 TO 4 FEET. BAYS AND COASTAL WATERWAYS
ROUGH. ISOLATED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS.

I told the admiral we could always leave if the weather was rough.

You can judge from the pictures how accurate the forecast was.

We watched a beautiful sunset and headed in around 10pm. No one else on the water I was able to run the ICW(no GPS just marker to marker) on plane. There was a really neat white phospherescence in our wake all the way in.

Niiiiice!!

Are you the weather forecaster in your region? Is this how you get the water to yourself?

Great pictures! It's nice to have the place to yourselves once in a while.

Great pics. Thanks for sharing

Awesome pics. That second one looks alot like Fort Mcree, one of the best achorages in the area IMO. I've spent a few nights on the hook in there. If I had to ride out a storm that's where I'd want to do it.

Edit: Just realized that's where my avatar pic was taken.

Looks and sounds like a great evening.
I always have issues with the weather forecasts. Even in this day in age, they still can't get it right. Sure, its a pain when I really wanted to mow the grass and instead if rains, but when you rely on it out on the water, its a little more of a potential life-threatening situation; and yet they still can't get it right.

I always check the weather before I go out in my little boat. And so they say winds 5knots, waves 1ft. or less. So we go out. And then the actual data after getting out there is winds 15 knots, waves 2-3ft. Not good....and ruins my weekend. :smt013

We were out of St. Marks on Saturday and while it was a little choppy early on, it smoothed out really nice. Spent time out at a sand bar, travelled over to the Ocholocknee Bay and back.

Wife wanted to put up the canvas and spend the night on the water... but gas was low and dogs were out in the yard without anyone able to take care of them.

Plus we didn't have the 340 DA I was looking at... (dreaming about)...
