I'm trying to understand if not docked. How do I get power to ac or outlets or fridge. I have 3 choices on my panel. Ship, off, shore. Where does ac power come from? I'm currently moored and can't get ac or outlets to work. Only way is running an external genny connected to shore connect. My below deck genny isn't working. Can I install an inverter to power these systems? But as stock I'm confused how to get them on when not docked. Please help this newbie.

You should have an external plug which allows you to plug into shore power on your dock. Probably a 30 amp plug, male on the dock end and female on the boat end. That's basically what you are doing with the external genny -- I'll let others chime in on the safety of that. You can do the inverter thing if you want, but will probably need additional batteries. And you'll never have enough juice to run the AC. Best thing would be to get your internal genny working.

Currently keeping genny on my smaller boat for more airflow.

Hello Michael, welcome to the club, lots of very knowledgeable folks here to help you in many ways. I’m with @Golfman25, inverters will give you 110 volts, but never practical to run an A/C system. Marine electrical components for engines, both mains and generators are built differently than the generator you have running on the dingy. The difference is the marine parts will not ‘spark’, which is an extremely important safety issue, as you have huge amounts of fuels and oils aboard, and they are very flammable! Running that generator there is a bad, bad idea. Get your below decks genset working, and enjoy the safety and convenience of not having the tag-along! Good luck with the repairs!

Is your Dinghy almost full of water or did you build a platform? Hard to tell from the pic

Ship would be your built in generator. Off is AC off. Shore is for the plug as Golfman25 stated. So you have added an external generator and plugged into shore power.

An inverter is to convert DC to AC, but it's unlikely you will have enough power to run anything more than LED lighting or a microwave for a few minutes. All depends on the size of the inverter and the amount of battery capacity you have, and how you charge the batteries.
