Hi! Newbie to CSR (Ok I have been lurking for a while already)!
I currently have a 1987 Monaco 210 that I run on the "Chain Of Lakes" in northern IL. However for a number of reasons including have the chain closed (or no wake) due to high water levels after heavy rains, sometimes for weeks at a time in a relatively short season I am thinking about "moving up" and out.
I am thinking about moving to a marina on Lake Michigan and of course would move up from my 21' Monaco.
Thinking about something along the lines of a 29' - 33' Sundancer. I do like the wider beam of a 310 Sundancer (or larger). And moving to something with air/heat would also be nice. Probably would look at something in the late 90's although I would love an early 2K but that would probably be out of my budget.
Any tips or advice on what model / year along with exactly what size I should look at or stay away from? This would include engine / outdrive vs V drive and any other key features or options.
Thanks!
-Steve
Of course I would have it surveyed prior to purchase.
