Hello all.. I just bought a used 1987 Sundancer 286.. very nice and clean but I have so many questions.. not sure where to go and who to ask...
 
Hi welcome I have an 89 268 with a 454 and bravo drive . There are a few if us on here you can find some threads in the classics section. I've had to work through a few issues on mine this year being a new to us boat . If I can help with anything I'm happy to . There are a lot of guys on the site who may not have the same boat but can be a tremendous help because many boats share common power plants drives electrical systems etc . Best starting advise I can think of is make careful inspections of anything you are not 100 percent sure was done already and then check anyway. Cooling system (raw water pump impeller) hoses bellows * Exhaust manifolds . Risers elbows exhaust tubes and butterfly valves all come to mind as things I addressed this year by thorough inspection and replacement as necessary. Seems like a bunch of money to be spending right away but will save you grief and money long term . Again welcome nice to have another 268 on here pics please.
 
How do you empty your port-a-port-a-potty??? Besides pulling it out..

If you have a large hose coming off the back it probably goes to a deck fitting for pump out, otherwise, your haulin $hit.

The factory ones that came with these boats are plumbed to a deck plate. This is a fall project on our boat install a holding tank and an electric pump toilet .
