50 hp Suzuki efi outboard
Hi all. My name is Mel (male of the species) and I own a 1989 Searay 220 Sundancer. I bought "Minki Lady" about a year ago as it had been modified to a pod and 50hp Suzuki efi which is what I wanted to cruise around the lake at Kielder Northumberland and spend a few days just relaxing in one of the many coves and inlets on the lake. The old engine bay is now a spacious storage area.
Not to every one's taste for those who like getting on a plane but it suits me fine.

This is the only pic I have at the moment, I'll take some pics of the empty engine bay and the pod conversion at the week-end

Minke, the sideways pic happens a lot on here, to alleviate, before posting crop it a bit remove extra sky / water, etc. it will post straight then. Just fyi.

Love it! I had a 87 220, lots of fun, only had 1 year, needed bigger for growing kids.
As you have had one like mine, can you tell me what the small opening on the floor just outside the rear bedroom is for. It always seems to have water in it. It measures approx 10"x3" by 4" deep but doesn't seem to have an inlet or outlet to it.

Hi @Minki Lady, welcome to the club. Lots of very knowledgeable folks here, a tremendous source of help, facts, and opinion! Really like your camper canvass with the extra height built in. I’ve had it both ways, the extra height is really great!

Back in 87. Too long ago. Normally that location is for the shower sump but the 220 has no shower, so I just don’t remember.

Hi. Mine is a 220 and does have a shower but I don't use it as I have no shore power.
