Newbie:Right side console buttons don’t turn on

Hi, I got these to work a couple days ago but can’t get them on now. I checked all fuses under the throttle , cabin lights are on so good 12 V, spotlight works, everything on left side of console but not right side. just got the boat (2007 280 Sundancer) and am stumped. Let me know if you need more info. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I believe that button pad is connected to the EIM under the steering column... there are 4 wires: ground, 12VDC, and 2 for communications. Make sure the 12V and ground are good. If so, you may have a communication issue which could be either the pad itself, or the EIM. The only way to tell is to change them out one at a time.

Today, one button will be depressed and nothing work and then press another button and the former button would turn on. Cockpit light button is off but cockpit lights are on even with all batteries turned off. thoughts anyone? Bad Ground?
