Hi my name is Jeff and just joined. I have been reading on this site for a couple of days. A lot of neat information. Excited to learn more about Sea Ray's!

We just got back into boating this summer after about 6 years. We just bought a thirty two and a half foot Crownline Open Bow. It has a cuddy on one side and a vacuflush toilet to the other side when walking to the front. The cockpit is almost ten ft wide. It is a great boat but I don't think it is what we really want. By the way it is for sale!

Next week I am going to look at a 1998 370 Sundancer. Only seen pics and it looks really nice. The fellow that bought it two years ago got it out of FL. Had to do a little work but noting major. He downsized to a thirty one ft boat because he bilt a lake house. The boat has 600 hrs on it. The gen was new when he got it. They had to replace it. It has 200 hrs on it.

Anyway any advice on what to look for would be very appreciated. Have a great weekend everyone!

A 32ft bowrider?...wow.

Yeah it's really a fun boat I just think we would like a full cuddy better. We had 12 people on it one evening going to eat and had pleanty of room. From what I have seen on the Crownline website it was taken from their 320 cuddy.

Gene thanks! Oh yeah I have been looking at this site and your site! Both are very informative! I am looking at a 98. That is the same as yours right?

Yup. And the best year IMHO. It has the higher arch and many of the optional features became standard that year. Just watch for the exhaust issue. Although many have had no problems, it's not worth the risk. If you can find a diesel version so much the better and if not, there are a number of low hour units out there.

Ok another question. Diference between the 370 and 380? Full fridge in the cuddy, fridge in the cockpit area, Driver seating and bench different in 380, 380 foot longer and foot wider? Thanks in advance, Jeff

Jeff,

The boats are basically the same size. Sea Ray changes model names often without actually growing the boat. It is about 4" wider according to Sea Ray. The cockpit seating changed as they moved the aisle from some what in the center to the port side. The fridge in the cockpit was an option. Below, they changed to the larger fridge/freezer and tweaked the layout a little. All in all a very nice boat just a little different from the 370DA it replaced.
