Single 350 MAG MPI B3
Hello from Norfolk VA. New to the forum,
new to Sea-Ray's,
hell, I'm new to boating !
Advise, suggestions, comments and constructive criticism welcome !!
The Vessel- 2006 Sea-Ray Amberjack 270. Single 350 MAG MPI w/ B3 drive. 325 hours. Fishing package.
Back story- A vacation in Ocacroke NC sparked my childhood hobby of fishing. Upon returning to Norfolk, I started WADING to fish.
I soon realized a KAYAK would better suite my desires. A Hobie pedal version served me well, but cramped my legs after a 10-12hr day on the water.
A trip to the local bait shop resulted in a purchase of a 10' Sears Game-fisher JON-BOAT. It now serves as the dingy for my new to me baby:
I call her.. "Mountains to Sea"

Currently under wraps, anxiously awaiting mid-March launch.
Thanks in advance for any help

UPDATE- We are in the water!

welcome to the circus its my duty to inform you all of us in the north need visual stimulation so please send pictures.

Welcome. Nice fishing platform. An old dockmate had the 290 AJ... great boat. The 350Mag is a good motor too, easy to maintain and pretty bullet proof. Keep up on the B3 maintenance and you'll have a dependable boat for years to come.

Welcome aboard, I love the amberjacks.

Thanks guys. A quick cruise of the site and I'm excited to see some discussion on topics that we have in common.:smt038 I'll save the mechanical Q's for the proper section, but I'm IN Money, Marbles' and Chalk !

Sorry to hear about your dog. For most people a pet is part of the family and it's never easy to feel loss.

On the bright side you have an excellent fishing machine and you get to move forward with a great hobby/lifestyle.

Lots of amazing people in this group, it's good to have this wealth of information and resources.

Thanks, on all fronts.
1st Q, WHY can't I post picture? except small pic's and my signature, it' not allowing any ??

You can either use a site like photobucket to link to pictures, or better yet, click on "support the site" at the top of the page, make an annual donation, post all of the pics you want and learn tons of great info.

Got it- thanks. After ordering 200 bucks worth of LED's from the LED post I was following today, wondering does a donation to MarineBeam.com count....??:smt043

Welcome! You bought a great Bay boat, take care of her and she will take care of you!

As as for the LED's the good ones do cost a bit more, I've changed all mine now and I don't want to know what I spent.

Mike, Full House is running good and strong. My wife and I thank you many times over!

Welcome aboard
