Greetings to all! We are newbies to the SRC and are doing our due diligence and research before our next boat purchase. I found the SRC to be quite helpful in that research and I'm glad to be part of the forum. We are currently working and living abroad in Bahrain but will be returning to our hometown in Jacksonville, FL in the next few years with plans to rejoin the boating community in a SeaRay. We like the looks, style and what's been said about the 420 hardtop and 2009 43. In anycase, that's our goal. In the meantime, we hope to gather much needed information regarding the boats we like and look forward to the process. Thanks in advance for all the advice and information.

Welcome to the CSR forum. Do they have any doctors that can treat dyslexia over there... :smt043

(Just fooling around. No offense intended)

Not that I'm aware, but it looks like I may need to find one. I told you I was a "newbie" to the CSR (not SRC). I may need them to treat my CRS as well.

Welcome aboard!

Welcome to CSR.

I travel to Bahrain often with work (airline) but, never stayed more than a couple days.
Some people love the desert but, compared to Florida ... bet your really looking forward to leaving there and returning.
Best of luck with your search.

Air O' Nautical,
Yes, it will be nice to get back someday, but we really like it here...some of the few anyway. We just returned from our annual month long vacation in Florida which has re-sparked the desire to get another boat, especially after a week in the Keys.

Thanks for the greetings and safe flying.

Welcome Aboard, spent some Quality Time at JJ's Irish Pub while stationed there!!

Bugsy24,

Ah yes, JJ'S. Heard about that watering hole the few times I pulled in here on ships back when I was in the Navy too. Retired now and still working for the them.
Thanks for the greeting!

Hi Scott - from a neighbor :) in the UAE - good luck finding a boat - and if you pass by Abu Dhabi I'll take you on a cruise anytime. Abu Dhabi is lovely with lots of animal life - and many small islands. I'm right next to the formula 1 track :)

Welcome from Williamsburg VA... Post some photos, I would love to know what the rest of the world looks like

Kaz911,
Thanks for the greeting. As it turns out, my work takes me to Dubai often and Abu Dhabi occasionally. I would enjoy a nice cruise if the opportunity lends itself. The next time I get in the area I could PM you or call. I have a UAE phone number in which I use when I'm there. At the least, we could meet for a coffee or something.
Again, thanks for the greeting and look forward to perhaps meeting you one day.

dwna1a,
I'll do my best. Turns out my niece took quite a few pictures during her visit here and I just need to gather some of them.
Thanks for the greeting.

BritLady,
Thanks for the greeting. Love the teak decking on your boat.

Scott
Thanks Scott. It's not actually real teak, although we have the real stuff in the cabin. It's called PlasDECK and it's made from plastic which you stick down. We love it, it really upgraded her look. Gets a bit hot in the FL sun but you just spray it with water:)
