So I went and looked at this boat and made an offer for $15,000 that was accepted, what do you think:

The bow cover and cockpit cover need to be replaced and on pole for the bimini is bent. The boat is also dirty dirty dirty inside the cabin. It looked good mechanically and is getting surveyed next Thursday. Any advice on what to look for or on cleaning the interior is greatly appreciated, I searched and found:

1. Don't use bleach, ammonia or like products on the vinyl
2. Everything else is pretty subjective

I'm a long time boater but first time buyer!!!!

Thanks for the help!

Congratulations! Looks good... good deal! Do your first cleaning with Simple Green and go from there. Good Luck and welcome to CSR!

Congrats and welcome aboad! Spray Nine is also a pretty good general cleaner too. Starbright Mildew cleaner is excellent if you have any mildew present.

Thanks for the advice, there is some mildew/mold on some of the cushions.
We went back and forth on the cruiser vs. bowrider, the admiral wanted deck space, I wanted a boat so a bowrider met both of our needs.

Thanks for the links def. cheaper than the $1700 the broker quoted!!!

So the survey went okay. I got the boat for $13,500 because she needs the risers and manifolds done (quote came in at $1,600) at the end of the season. Port side is running about 20 degrees hotter than starboard, the surveyor said it didn't need to be done but definitely at the end of the season. So I took the family out cruising yesterday, what a great day. I'll post up some pics later.
