Hi All
I am in Bradenton Fl and just aquired a 1984 Sundancer 245 I say aquired because I traded a equipment trailer for her. seems in good shape didn't take her on water but started her and put in F/R seems to go ok. She has everything in pretty good shape I got her from 2 owner he only had her 6 months and figured she was to big for him. (thats his story) But my biggest concern is putting her in water and seeing if the exhaust manifolds are ok?Not leaking. When we started her we only run for a minute with no water hooked up. My truck a Ford F150 5.4 pulled her ok I dont know how she will pull her out of ramp? I pull my son's 20 Ft. Mako cc ok but I think this is much heaver? The org, owner reupholstered her in 2006 new outdrive in 2008 new engine in 99 I have all the receipets of everything he spent on her.I paid $2,500.00 for my trailer in 2006 so I would think I did ok trading for boat if everything works.

Running a boat on the hard without muffs can do significant damage. You may have burnt up your impeller. Yes you can back the boat down the ramp and start it while its still on the trailer. When is the last time the oil was changed? Impeller changed? Do you have any service history? I am sure others may chime in to give their two cents. Good luck with the new boat and welcome!
