Hello,
I am about to purchase my first boat, a 2000 Sea Ray 215 Express cruiser from a relative, we are getting a great deal (I think anyway). I have some concerns about storing it. I am completely new to this... My plan is to keep it in a slip until winter approaches and then, if possible store it somewhere on the trailer. Do Marinas generally allow this? Also, i would LIKE to store the trailer at the marina while the boat is in the water (I really do not have room for the trailer at my house). Once again, i am a total newb when it comes to this, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

And for you Maryland folks, I live in Dundalk and the two marina's that i am considering getting a slip (If they even have any available) are Starr Marina and Anchor Bay East. Any pro's/con's to either of those?

First let me say, welcome to CSR. I don't know any thing about those two marinas but i can highly recommend this one http://www.chesapeakeyachting.com/ as it is one of my favorites on the bay. I'm pretty sure they will be able to accommodate your slip and trailer needs. Great marina staff, lot's of amenities and a great location. Also there are already a few Dundalk residents that keep their boats there.

Thanks techmitch! I will have to look into that marina. I figure its about time to get a boat, lived around water all my life and have never had my own boat!

Welcome aboard.
