I am looking for a marina recommendation on the south shore side of Long Island and in Cape May. Looking for nice marina with amenities nearby.

Schooner Island Marina in Wildwood NJ. A few miles north on the ICW after entering Cape May Inlet.

In Cape May, I'd recommend Schooners Island as Fred did, or Canyon Club. Canyon Club is in Cape May right off the inlet, and is more 'upscale' that Schooners Island IMO. Downside to CC is that there is really little there within walking distance; we usually take a cab into town and have had some great dinners and ghost tours downtown.

The south shore of Long Island consist of about 60 NM of inland bays with barrier islands running along most of its length . The inland bays are shallow in certain areas. Although there are many great marinas, you will be limited with access due to your vessel with its mast and width. Additionally, you probably will only want to enter Fire island inlet, Jones inlet or Shinnecock inlet. The inlet with the closest marina to the inlet is probably Shinnecock inlet with Oakland marina.
Fire island inlet will require you to travel back east a good distance unless you are looking for a quick stopover in which you could probably pull into docks at Robert Moses State Park Boat Basin. It won't offer any amenities and is somewhat isolated.
Jones beach Inlet may have a couple of marinas in Point Lookout that will allow you to tie up at their gas dock overnight (Bouy Bar)

Thanks guys.....Looks like Canyon Club and Oakland Marina fit into my route...

John, you might want to check out South Jersey Marina in Cape May. It's by far the most popular transient marina in the harbor and although it's very close to the Canyon Club it has several restaurants surrounding it where Canyon Club being on the other side of the bridge over the Cape May canal has nothing. Canyon Club is a great marina but I wouldn't recommend it if you don't have a car. Mark

I like South Jersey or Utches better than Canyon Club, if you don't need a pool and want to be close to town... Plus these two marinas are less expensive a foot, and they have cheap fuel...

My marina def has the room for you. They have a couple boats with 20ft beams that came out and there slips are available. As far as amenities. You get a bathroom and an ice machine lol but a quick 2 min cab ride or 2 min dingy ride and u have a couple bars and rest on the next canal. . (Natural mile) what's your draft with the keel? 5 ft of water at low tide entering my canal

Okay folks...Need another marina (nice) right outside NY on NJ coast. I do not want to go into NYC. Something between Atlantic City and New York City

Stay at my house we have 12' depth of water, a 120' wide lagoon and 77' of dock... No charge, electric and water included... Our boat is on the hard for the winter... We are in half way between NYC and AC...

Just a thought... If want a nice place to stay that is easy in and out... I would anchor at Myers Hole, by the Dike, just inside the Barnegat Inlet, by the town of barnegat light. I anchor there often, and have seen boats like yours anchored near me.... Check out active captian for details...
