Its early this year. Time to spend some boat dollars before the holidays.
Good warm up before the Miami show in FLA.
Enjoy,
Mark.

NMMA gets worse and worse dates from Javits. It's getting to be time to move that show to another venue. Then Javits can book another fashion accessories show, which is where the big money is. On the other hand, hope that the @#$#$ motorcycle show isn't the same time as the boat show. That was scary. A bunch of degenerates nearly pushed my wife out of their way before I pulled her out of their path. Losers.

Best regards,
Frank

Frank,
U nailed it . The boat show does not generate enough money for the city so they get the crappy dates. Making it earlier this time around is an attempt by the Event planners to salvage the attendance decline over the years . Sadly i think with whats going on today nothing can save this years show.

Rob

I'm going with a pocket full of money. I like these dates much better.

Which day are you going, Mike? And will that be cash?

Yes cash, stuffed into my underwear.

And while these dates are supposed to help boost attendance over the New Year's week shows of the past, the vendors are getting squeezed by hotel room rates which are almost 100% higher in mid-December because of the holiday crowds in the city. And that's despite the preferred rates exhibitors get. Many have pulled out because of this (on top of how expensive the show is for them to begin with).

I'll still be there with $ to spend. I guess it will just be easier to see the whole show this time around.

Eww! Never mind.

I got my free tickets from Sea Doo today. Woo hoo!

They didn't send me free tickets. Not that I normally pay for boat show tickets anyway. Who do you know? BTW, get anything with the "-X" package, such as an RXP-X or an RXT-X. 40 more HP for just a few bucks.

I'll be happy to let someone from raymarine stay at my apt for a new GPS.

Off topic - but in case you didn't know, Raymarine's doing solid rebates this month. Couple that with Jim's prices... And while there are lots o' opinions on Ray gear, I couldn't have been happier with my first season with my entire Ray setup (E80 w/radar, gps, depth & wx, ST70, Autopilot, VHF). It all worked flawlessly and suited my needs perfectly.

Now, back to our regularly scheduled Boat Show thread...

If you own a boat today, it's hard to think of a good reason to sell it and buy another one. If you don't own one, it's hard to think of a logical reason to buy one. (not that it was ever logical, but even less so now.)

2 bedroom, 2 bath, nice views. I'll even make the coffee in the morning.

When is everyone planning on attending? Maybe we could have a little CSR Rendezvous.

Greg

I'll be there the 13th and 14th.

I am taking Friday the 19th off and riding the train into the city. I always go to litle Italy for dinner after the show. That would be a good place for the CSR meeting!

Have free tickets but no sure if we will get there. We usually meet friends from CT there in January and do dinner and all. Its too close to Christmas for all of us.
You can mail them to me if you must get rid of them :) :)
