New York City?

Lived in the city for 10 years and worked there for 25+.
Agree with a lot posted but no disrespect intended I would say I would avoid the touristy places like Carmines. ...

I only mentioned Carmines because Mike has never been to the city before and would most likely really enjoy that atmosphere for the first time. But if you have ever been there, they do have very good home style Italian food.

LaGuardia previously was a 3rd world country airport in the past.

We went in and out of there this latest trip. They have completed the remodel - it is a great airport to fly into now. I would choose LGA in a heartbeat now.
They put lipstick on a pig…it’s still a 3rd world airport outside on the business end. $4 Billion and your not going anywhere any faster. At least you’ll be comfortable while you sit!

OK guys, time to close this thread. After some serious discussions between my wife and myself we've decided that my medical condition and the inability to walk long distances/time a trip like I proposed above is Nixed.

We did a Viking River Cruise a couple of years ago and loved it. Looks like a cruise of some sort might be on the agenda.

So, thanks for the information and for stepping up to help out.
