Ok guys,
I want to thank everyone for their input. It was truly helpful. To put a cap on this thread I finally got a new vehicle, just not the one I wanted!! I ended up leasing a 2012 Ford Escape Limited for 24 months. I was all for the pick-ups until I found out I couldn't plow. I started looking at SUV's to replace my SUV and got more confused. I really liked the Durango Citadel but wasn't prepared to fork over close to $60K fo one. My friend showed me a nice Explorer but third row access was poor and I have three growing children. I really liked the Chevy Traverse but, the local dealers did not have one with the options I wanted in the color I wanted. If I ordered one I lost some of the incentives.
Ultimately my friend pitched me the Escape lease. Ford is doing great deals on these right now (the airwaves are full of ads here) because the new body style is coming out this spring. I got this one for very little down and a very manageable monthly payment. It's really too small but I'm only using it for 2 years. I'll be shopping again in around 14-16 months and will have a much better idea what I want. I just took this to put an end to the never ending shopping.
