Hello everyone, New to the boating world. My girlfriend and I bought our first boat this week. It's a 2001 Sea Ray 225 Weekender. We are very excited to get it in the water. I just wanted to see what knowledge we can gain from this great place. Thanks! IMG_0962.JPG

Welcome to the board! On lesser boards you'd hear comments about pictures of your GF but fortunately this is a more refined board. You've already posted a pic of your boat so you should fit in just fine. ha.

That's a nice looking tower. Is that aftermarket?? Vey cool.
 
Great starter boat. My first boat was a 2001 245 Weekender. That lasted two seasons and then I got the bug for a bigger boat. I still see the 245 on the water and it looks as good today as it did when I bought it.
 
Haha glad I dont have to hear that here. The tower was aftermarket and added by the guy we bought it from about 2 months before we got it. Havent got it in the water yet so itching to do that. Thanks for the welcome!
 
I've got a buddy who has a cruiser so Ive been ou them for so long now I figured it was time I got my own. Can't afford the big cruisers yet, but wanted something we can at least stay on if need be. I have a feeling that itch for a bigger boat will come soon enough though! Thanks for the welcome!
