New to site. 1974 Searay

Hey im new to this site and i have a 1974 Searay SRV 190 with a 165 hp Mercruiser. I bought the boat at a steal price of $500, the Tilt and Trim of the stern drive is not working. I believe that it may be the Hydraulic lines but am unsure. If anyone has any input please feel free to help.

First u need to determine if there is an electrical problem or a hydraulic problem.
With the key in the accessory position, press the switch to raise/lower the T & T.
If you hear the pump come on in both directions, but the unit does go up or down, then you have a hydraulic issue. If the pump doesn't actuate when u press the switch up or down, then you have an electric proble.

Check easy things first- hydraulic fluid level, fuse, grounds, and the switch itself.
