Hello all, I just put down my deposit on a 1999 Sundancer 240 with the merc 305 and Alpha One. I am coming from a celebrity cuddy with a 454 so the power loss will be no fun but at least the wife will have the ammenities she wants...and a happy wife...

Anyway, I was wondering if anyone has info on the '99 240 they could share or tell me what to expect on plaining, crusing speeds, and top end. Any info would be great!

thanks:smt038

We need to know more about you so we can poke fun at you first.

Thanks:smt038

I didn't realize that was spelled with a capital "G"...

See... we have hijacked your first thread and made it meaningless.

There is no better welcome to CSR than to have been hijacked!

That and it doesnt hurt our Post Counts!!

oh and btw, I capitalized it not from inside knowledge, just bad typing.

I am much too happy a person to be Goth.

Lots of information on the 240DA and owners here, With any luck, one of them will chime in soon and put an end to our chatter.

Welcome to the board and congratulations on your purchase. You have now met the peanut gallery. You will find this is a great group of people who love talking boats. Again welcome to the club!!!

Actually I was thinking he should be privileged that Gary was the first person to respond to his first post. :smt038

Welcome to CSR!

kind of like the dog that greets you by sniffing your crotch.

isitsummeryet,

As hinted around to you will want to put your boat information (year, model, motor, etc) in your signature.

Keep it clean or I'll smack you with my cane.

Thanks for the warm welcome - I feel at home already. as for the goth, it depends on the company - ha. I did find, in my goth days, that it became increasingly difficult to maintain that pale white pasty look durring boating season...not to mention the added expense of teh sun screen.

I'm sorry that you had to hear from these Losers.... on your first post....Clearly you need to be able to go to a board and hear things like congrats on your purchase, way to go on the Sea Ray, You'll love the boat, welcome to Michigan..... things like that..... So at least you heard it from Me a fellow Michigander.... I'm here near Flint, if you need any advice, that I feel I am able to give you....Well, Gary here , he's ok... a little on the Air Head side but he knows his stuff, thats all I can say about anybody..... Wlecome to the board and Hey Use the Great Lakes category and you won't here from those southern boys much....he he he he ehheheheh Ok Take your shots at Me Boys..... Pick on someone your own size and season....

signature test

Now I am just being a pain but you will want to add the model, there are quite a few sundancers out there

As to boltman's comments about us southerners, just introduce me to any southern person that moved north, I have yet to meet one, I wonder why that is?
