After a long ride up from NY to MA in nasty seas the boat is home at its slip. We chose to push through strong following winds and got caught is 8-9fts seas at night. We should have ditched into port at dusk and continued on the next day in the daylight. Lesson learned.

1 week to winterize everything and then to RI for winter storage. It is amazing the difference with big diesels and big props. Handling is awesome compared to my 340da. A few things to work out but mechanically it is in good shape.

Congrats I was waiting for some pics to show up. She’s a beaut. Going to be a long winter of waiting for you.

Congratulations! You’re going to love owning this boat! Moving up from a 340 you will quickly see how much this extra space, weight, and power will change your boating experience and enjoyment for years to come!

Congrats! Beautiful boat. May the winter be short!

Beautiful!
Very nice Captain

I won’t be in seas like that at night again. They were calling 4ft seas and that is what we had need in for the 2 hours prior so we decided to push on but once we got south of Cutty Hunk Island they just stacked up and with it being night I couldn’t see the waves before I was already in them. I ended up just backing off to about 1200rpm and road the swells into the bay. Made the last 30mi of the trip long but at least we got in safe.

Beautiful boat - except for your winter gear on the bridge - Brrrr!!!
I just finished cleaning the bilge and it was 39deg out. Brrr is right.

We bought ours last November. The winter seemed to crawl along. Once spring arrived we forgot about very quickly. Good luck with your new boat.
I am sure it will be a long winter wait8ng till spring. I have a bunch of projects to do on the boat over the winter so that will make it go faster.

I hope you will join us wintering in FL someday soon!!
Someday that is the goal but we have 8 and 10yr old girls so it will be a while before we can make sense of bringing the boat down south for the winter.
