Okay, so i just aquired a 1983 SeaRay Sundancer. Its missing a pair of hydraulic presses that go from one part of the lower drive to the other... im not sure what its called so i can't find the right parts to replace it. have a lot of restoration work to do on it so any suggestions would be great...

Are you talking about the Hydraulic Trim Pistons? These are used to trim your outdrive up and down for things such as trailering and getting in/out of shallow water.A quick google search found this page.

There are different types as I believe the older pistons & pump worked on high pressure and low volume while the newer ones were low pressure /high volume. I am not 100% sure on this as others better qualified here may chime in. Either way a look at your pump should determine what you need to order. The pump housing and resevoir should be located on your transom inside the bilge. Don't confuse it with your Trim Tab pump which controls the "Tabs" on the back of the boat and are utilized to position the boat while running by either bringing the bow up/down or adjusting roll left/right.

Okay, so i have some better photos of my work in progress. still trying to find out where the battery selector goes, in which makes up part of where i drag the cables to / from. any assistance on this would be awesome. The wire harness cut from the engine is kind of small i think, as the rest of it is still back at the end of the boat against the wall. the reservoir for one of the pumps is cracked at the bottom, but currently i am trying to find where the battery cables go to / from so i can begin starting the wiring test's/charge and check the bilge pumps, later on ill put some marvel oil in the cylinders and let it sit for 2 day's then hand crank it with the main coil wire removed, and all 8 plugs as well. So, again any tips will be awesome. ohh yea and i plan on Soda blasting the outdrive so i can see the real damage to it. i know i have to replace the prop its pretty tore up.
