Hello fellow SeaRay owners! My wife and I finally bought our first boat. We got a 1999 SeaRay 180 Bowrider. We live in the PNW where we have our fair share of salt and fresh water. This boat was CLEAN however it had been in saltwater for some of it's life. One owner, garaged and well maintained. It has a 2 stroke Mercury 125HP outboard with low miles. In retrospect, I would have probably been more interested in an inboard/outboard however we love our little boat even if the engine smokes and smells a little on a cold start :)
We've only had it in the water a few times but it's starting to warm up here in Washington so sunny days on the water are in the future.
Found a great wet slip on the lake which was probably the best decision we could have made versus trailering it each time we wanted to get out there. For how much water we have in Seattle there aren't many ramps! urg.
Already had somebody replace that crappy old Quicksilver 3000 throttle and looking into getting a battery tender to keep the battery charged up! Upgrade auto bilge, figuring out what this weird red switch on my control panel is, new radio....the list just keeps growing. It's amazing how boat repairs and upgrades have taken a vast amount of bandwidth in my life since becoming a boat owner. Worth it tho.
When we bought the boat, I took it to a mechanic to have it checked out and he told me about this site. Sure glad he did. Everyone on here has been very helpful with the couple of questions I've asked. Feels nice to be part of this community and looking forward to the day I can actually answers some other newbie boaters questions, lol. Learning more everyday and truly appreciate being able to call myself a SeaRay owner.

Angie, welcome to CSR and Searay and the boating lifestyle. You live in the boating capital of the PNW. Lots of places to take your new baby and lots of places to explore.

Where are you slipped?

Thanks! We’re on the south end of Lake Washington. Found a good deal on an unheard of 6 month rental thru the summer. Got lucky I guess

Welcome to the crew! Enjoy the boat as much as possible, Only thing I would like to add is … pictures please!

Yes You DID! We have a son who lives in the Lakeview area so he's probably looking right down on your boat. I guess I was derelict in mentioning photos of your boat. There's an old saying on here "Without pictures, it didn't happen." We all like to see photos of boats, people using their boats and the areas where they do their boating.

Again, Welcome!

Just want to be sure it's not a Bayliner with a force 90 outboard LOL
