NEW THREAD Employed by SeaRay

I have a 280 2005 sundancer, with two 4.3 Alpha drives. Does anyone know of a flush kit that will work on this set up. Can someone tell me how the deck vents are fastened to the boat. I have one that looks like it is a little loose, and the starboard side has a small vent that is broken that I would like to fix.

welcome aboard
my question is that i continue to have my water tank come up empty - i have a 400 db and it holds 120 gallons of fresh - i have replaced the water pumps - i have not idea where the water goes - any suggestions

Check to make sure your water heater is not over heating your water and the pop up valve on the WH is relieving water pressure (water) overboard. You need to spend time down below in the bilge areas and look / listen for any water movement with everything off but the water system on. Look for any water being pumped overboard and know where it is coming from. Your water heater pop off valve is probably hooked up by hose to a side discharge port on the boat.

Does this happen with the pump(s) on or off? If only when on, turn them on, turn faucets off, and listen for pumps to come on. If pumps are coming on, you are likely to have an actual water leak down stream from the pumps. A common area to have a leak is at the transom with the fresh water wash down/shower. You wouldn't notice the water back there.

Another common area is at the water heater. Does it happen only with the water heater on? If so, you may have it turned up too hot and it will vent the extra pressure when it gets too hot. Or, the pressure relief valve (correct term?) may be bad and allowing hot water to escape.
Look under sinks and in the bilge. Rinse the bilge, then draw out any excess water by wet-vac. Come back and taste any water in the bilge - fresh? It's a start.

Though I doubt it would leak from the bottom, check around your fresh water tank.

I have a friend with a 40DB that swears he uses all of the water every weekend, and his wife and daughter swear they take Navy showers. In reality, they both take long, hot showers, drain all of the water and lie to him.

Does any one know why a 2005 year 220 SSE (made in Poland) might not have a depth transducer when the engine is a 5.0ltr mpi with bravo3 drives?

Because they did not put one in it or it went bad.

What does the transducer have to do with the engine and drive:huh:

Chelepop, a few '07 - '09 310 DAs are reporting that their breakers are kicking if they run the AC and other high load items like the microwave or grille simultaneously while on shore power. Have you heard anything about this? Is it possible to add a second 30 amp service to handle the AC? Or some other solution? Mine had kicked with the microwave and AC, so I now shut the AC down when running the AC.

We have a 1999 Sundancer 370 with the 7.4's in it. The problem we are having is, when we open the engines up and run them for about 1 1/2 hr or 2 and alarm goes off. All the gages are were they should be. Can you please tell me what the problem might be (sensors?)

Thanks
Connie

Hi, Recently bought a 2002 Sea Ray SunDeck 270.

Having an electronics prob.

Had a boat survey done, also did a sea test before purchasing it.

At which time the boat checked out (Radio worked, Electronic Switch Pad Worked).

Once the boat was delivered, and we took it, we found that the radio was not working, the horn worked but volume was very low, wiper did not work, internal courtesy light glowed off and on in a very cyclical and predictable manner and the pump for the on-board shower sprayers did not work.

We thought it was a bad circuit board. However, over the weekend, while out and about, the radio started working the wiper started working, did not check the sprayers.

But as soon as they came on they stopped again.

I thought the stereo and the electronic switch pad was on the same system but it doesn't same to be the case. It also does not seem like the problem is the circuit board because of the way both of the systems started working again.

Any suggestions on what the problem could be?

first check the electrical panel to make sure all connectors are fitting tight and no corrosion. you have power so the fuses are ok, but you are getting low voltage. may be losing some voltage through poor connections.

Is this on shore power, or just off the batteries? If its ok on shore power, check battery output, then connections, etc.

Can anyone tell me where the in line fan is located for the galley on a 420 AC. I see where the two intakes for the exhaust are, (one under the shelf above the counter) and (one located through the side wall of the cabinet next to the microwave). I know where fan exhaust to out the side of the boat but for the life of me can't find and access panel to get to the fan it self. If you know or can find out it would be greatly appreciated.

John
