That is beautiful work. I really like the look and feel of real teak but personally would be challenged by the need to maintain it. Thanks for sharing.
Looks great!! Do you mind sharing the maintenance information the installers gave you? We have all teak decking in our boat (including the swim platform) but I get a lot of mixed advice on the maintenance.
WOW Looks FANTSTIC. Who ever installed did great job. My OCD didn't kick in with all the lines matching up perfectly. How much weight did it add to the hatch?
Many thanks! So far they told me to use teak shampoo once a year and oil it once a year as well. But the guys that have the yard I store my boat in the winter did the job and will do the maintenance as well.
Sure you'll have it. I don't expect any big discolouration given that the concerned area is constantly under the canvas enclosure. The true result will be seen after our Greek August when we are at holidays and have only the bimini on. During mid day the temperature might rise to 43-44 degrees oC.
