New Swim Platform

It does look big. I'm surprised that the platform is so heavy just by itself. I hope there's a good access in the ER to comfortably secure the platform.

Alex, we planned the install today. The ER access is great. And the area where we would be securing it is wide open. I just need to remove the old ladder seal the holes and organize the guys. Looking forward to it.

"I'm not going to use the hydraulic lifts they're just not necessary its not as heavy as I originally thought. "

I found a lift I'm going to rent when the time comes....similar to those sketches you showed earlier. I think it's going to be helpful to hold the platform in place while lining it up and determining where my holes are going to be drilled. And then easier than having 2 or 3 guys trying to support the weight and hold it steady without jostling it around while I drill.

Your platform is quite a bit bigger than mine. What would you guess the weight to be? 150 pounds maybe? More? Mine feels quite a bit heavier than I expected.

Good luck with yours....hope all goes well for you.

Mine is prob around 350-400 lbs. I'm using boat stands instead 4 guys will pick it up onto the stands I now believe the lift will be more trouble than it's worth. Good luck.

Man that's quite a bit of additional weight to be hanging on the back of your boat.

They told me mine was around 120 pounds.

I got the old one off today and was a little surprised at its weight.....so it appears I won't be hanging that big a weight difference on the old girl when I bolt the new one on.

Ok, so here's a great way to stretch your boat by almost 4 feet.
Add a swimplatform a.com platform. We started the install today and I really like the quality. Besides a little damage from shipping, the platform is well made and matches pretty well . The install wasn't difficult but my heart rate was up as I drilled into my hull. (16) times! I had pre made stands for the install and they worked beautifully. After aligning everything and marking center it was time to drill the Holes. I chamfered tall the holes , filled with 4200,and bolted the platform to the boat we did the best we could to make it a flush fit but apparently it was molded with a little bit of a bow on the middle, we did remove most of it. Later I will install the support braces (5) I'm total. I did take some pics along the way but the guys where yelling " put the phone down" !!! So here you go

Great job, Joe! The platform looks awesome.

Arguably one of the best bang for boat bucks you can get. I love these platform threads.

Looks great joe congrats! Now we can hang out on your boat and give my dance floor a break! Or maybe to many people will fall in the water.

Looks great Joe! I can't wait to test it out this summer!

Still a couple finishing touches left.....but the beer in my truck was calling to us so.....you know the rest.
