New Swim Platform

So I am finally getting the platform put on this week, had to wait my turn in line. The platform was removed today and plans for early next week to be put on. Man this has been eating at me for what seem like forever ... That said looks like I will be needing to get the Hurley H3O setup and sell off my current davits. The new platform is a good 20-24 inches wider then my old one. Not sure I can get the dinghy over that much platform with out scratching the platform to hell.

I am wondering how many tie downs I will need for 10'6" aluminum bottom with a 15hp? Can I get away with just 2 or do I need a third some where?
Orlando - make darn sure the hardware is all 316 stainless steel and not ACE or HD 18-8 stainless. I get all of my 316 stainless from McMaster-Carr.

Very nice! Looks great, I like the H3O setup, mine will be here tomorrow.

If you want to save some time have your installer add a bunch of padeyes now. Adding strapping points to the platform after it's installed is a moderate PITA.

Yeah your not kidding, I have has 18-8 drop off in one season around bad stray current at the dock. They say the supplied hardware is 316, so hopefully it is what they say it is. I like Fastenal, but only because they are a short drive for me. McMaster always has great hardware, but has to be ordered.

Yep, that would be me. Already have the pad eyes, but waiting on the pop-up eye that @ocgrant referenced. Should be a quick install, I am measuring the dinghy and the mount out while on land, so it shouldn't be too bad.

So I finally got he platform on last week. What a debacle that was. The yard had started the replacement and then there guy doing the work called in sick for the 2nd day in a row last Thursday and Friday. When Friday morning came around I realized I needed to finish the work or no boat for another week. Luckily they had the old platform off and the holes fiber glassed from the original platform, along with the new platform on jack stands. So the bulk lifting was done. At the end of the day the boat went in and it looks great.

Here are some pics of the original and of the new with the H3O davit system installed along with my new Lumitec X2 Seablaze lights all of which I installed myself as well.

Great day out on the water yesterday, "Cody" (Yellow Lab) was very happy to have his dink back on the boat.
