Just bought a new (to me) Sundancer 270, now comes the long winter/spring as I wait to take her for maiden voyage!
Haven't decided on a marina to keep it at yet, but it will be on the East side of the lake.
From now till May will be full of little purchases to hold me over!!

Welcome, congrats. What year? There is a good 94-97 270 thread that would apply to the 98-99 SE with great info in it

Good luck, MM

its a 1999 SE, I already have a list of upgrades I want to do including tv and extended swim platform for the kids, and a few electronics pieces for me.
I hope to find most of my answers on here!
Thanks

Welcome aboard.

You will love the swim platform. Swimplatforms.com are fantastic. A windlass is also a great upgrade. On TV's, I'm getting a portable TV with a 12v converter on the AC cords so I can plug directly into 12v. I also added an RCA cable to play TV audio through the stereo.

Got the Lewmar Windlass on it, i want to mount the TV up in the Bow where the mirror is. I have sent a request to swimplatforms .com, so we will see on price, I have a U.S address to get it from to avoid brokerage costs. So we will see!

We are on the east side of Simcoe as well. In the process of changing marinas up closer near Lagoon City.
Also got a price from swimplatforms.com, was pretty reasonable including freight.

right now Im looking at Crates because I can walk there, but also looking at Everglades in Pefferlaw, its pretty central and I have some friends in there now.

We are in Marina Del Rey in Orillia...Great Marina, reasonably priced and close to all the great spots. We(and 7 others) left Crates last season as they were more interested in selling boats rather than customer service. We have some friends in Everglades and they enjoy it there too! Hope this helps!

welcome! and dont mean to hijack the thread but he might want one as well since hes talking upgrades. is there a place that you can buy oe or oe replacement radar arch's?

I have heard mixed reviews of Crates, but its very close to home, the convenience factor sucked us in!! And the pools are great for the children. We will see, the lake isnt that big anyways! Im sure Ill see you all out there!

Friends of ours moved to Marina Del Rey last fall from Starport. We just got a covered slip there as well to house our new (to us) 290 Sundancer.

Looks like there will be a few Sea Rays moving in to Marina Del Rey :smt038
Should make for a good party
