I replaced last year's dome with this year's style. The new style has grown on me even though it looks like tupperware :D

Yeah

I have a salad Bowl that looks just like that, I can put the Raymarine sticker on it and send it to you for a spare, would you like it...?

I'm just kidding, it looks great and well installed, you did a good job congrats man

Your Boltman

They do look like tupperware for sure, Raymarine even said so at dealer training last year. Apparently a computer said this is what they need to look like. I liked it the first time I saw it

any photos of these on a sea ray arch?

I will be installing one of these raymarine "salad bowls" on my 260DA. I am intending to use a pedestal to raise it above the arch around 6". Can someone post a pic? I'm looking forward to tackling this job if I can ever get them to release my boat.

Thanks,
Charlie

OK, here are my pics

No takers on the pic posting ...
I just finished the install ... here are the pics. (If I knew I was going to get the light pole then I would have put the gps antenna on it.)

Real boaters use Furuno!

OK ... Thanks ...

I was hoping for some useful info on this forum before I did the install ... but ... I guess it's "better late than never".

Your antenna install looks great... .....as for a better location to mount the screen, you could consider one of those Pods...it might help to neaten up your dash a bit....

What is the purpose of raising the unit 6 inches?

I had to get it away from the canvas. The zippers and tracks are about an inch high. I had to go at least 2 inches to have enough room to get the canvas off or on. Two inches is a little high for spacers and a 6" pedestal was the smallest one I could find.
