New Sea Ray President

Uh oh. This guy was past president of Bayliner and then the division that oversees Bayliner…. We can see the direction Brunswick is going here. Bye bye Sea Ray (what’s left of it, anyway).

I'd be more interested in what he accomplished with the Bayliner brand than concerned that he was responsible for it and will try to turn SR into a Bayliner type boat. CEO skills are somewhat unique and readily transferable within an industry and even across certain industries. If he did a good job of increasing sales of Bayliner boats, there is every reason to believe he can be successful leading SR. It seems that there is somewhat of a revolving door at the senior level of SR Boats. That is more concerning than this guy once ran Bayliner. There is a significant direct relationship between the success of companies and long tenured CEOs.

They do seem to rotate that role. Brad Anderson preceded Steve Langlais. Brad was a young, smart, professional guy. I had some dealings with him, impressive. I never heard why he left, but he was top notch in my book.
