Boat Info
1989 Sea Ray Sedan bridge 300
Engines
Twin 5.7 Mercruiser w/ v-drives
Hello
Just bought a 1989 sedan bridge 300 with 5.7's and v-drives this summer. Great boat but i'm not able to get up on plane cant go faster than 12 0r 13 mph. RPM's are around 4000, get a lot of turbulance behind the boat but no speed, I'm thinking the previous owner may have installed wrong props. Any one have any ideas or does anyone know where I can find info on the original prop size/pitch ? Thanks Steve

To find the correct prop go to Searay.com, Customer Support, Propeller Charts. It gives WOT rpm's also. Start with the simplest things first. Changing props is expensive and it's not likely the PO would have installed props that reduced performance. First thing to check is how clean is the hull? A dirty hull will severely limit performance.

Hey thanks for the reply Dick
I'm getting the boat hauled out this week and will definitly be checking all aspects of the hull since i never saw the boat out of the water.
