Hi,
Just bought my second boat and my first Sea Ray, 1997 Sundancer 250DA.
When i went to test drive and to inspect the boat it was sunny. I brought the boat home and noticed that after the first rain, there was water in the front bilge. But thanks to this forum I figured out that the problem was in the toilet window... Little bit of Sikaflex and the leak was fixed.
We absolutely love the boat now! Such a solid build and it handles well, even in waves. Lot of work ahead but the winter here in Finland is long so i got a lot of time to work on it
First in the list of thing to do are:
1) Heater and extra ventilation - In Finland this is a necessity. The weather is colder than in Sea Ray's natural habitat (Southern states?), so if you don't have a heater, moisture builds up easier in the cabin and things start to get moldy.
2) New trim sender and trim limit. Not working currently
3) Fix the speedometer. Not working
4) Fix the windlass. I hear sound but nothings happening... Any ideas on what to do?
