New Sea Ray Living Stars from CSR!!!

How 'bout a nice round of applause for our man Masterfabulous (Dale) and his article. Nobody else around here got an exclusive!

There's that one pic of a convoy of SRs led by a taupe colored hull. They weren't in our group...but they were Sea Rays!

Hey Ron, I resemble that remark...
We were part of the group... The Long Island Contingent.
Ron - Knot for Sail-rcmafgny , Mike - Zoyager of the Z's, and Jonathan-Xplicitlnck

PMvdb395DA....please tell me you can open the link to the magazine,,,thanks Rick. Better yet, if you provide me with a good address over there, I will try and have one mailed to you

Phlorida.....you don't get one soon, just drive up and I'll hand you one....even though I haven't seen a new copy around here either but I am sure there will be.

Haven't seen one yet myself guys.

Rusty

Hey Ron
One of you guys was taupe? I'm sorry - I guess at the dock I couldn't make out hull color!

Got mine last week... only thumbed through it so far.

I have been through mine, and it's great issue, especially for us CSR members. I am truly honored to be in the issue. Having said that, there are a few errors in the text - my boat is 10 years old, not 20; and I actually live in Wallkill, not Highland. I would also have liked them to print a pic of my engine room, since that's where most of the work was done, but those decisions were not up to me. I did a quick phone interview, sent them a selection of pics, and that was the extent of my involvement. They take it from there.

But hey, it's my 15 minutes of fame, so I have no reason to complain. It's an honor to be there, but I feel more blessed to have met many of you, both in person, and through this forum. It feels like family here, and I mean that from the bottom of my heart.

So, pass the potatoes and it's your turn to take the trash out...

Congrats on you 15 minutes Dale. It was the first segment I read after I scanned through. I can't believe you are selling it already. Too bad I'm not tired of my 280 yet because I would be knocking on your door.

Afraid to,say anything...don't want anyone to get mad at me.

(But Sea Ray doesn't send Sea Ray Living to Owners Club members who live outside the US. You gotta go to the dealer to,pick up,a copy)

I'll wait for the digital version on the site!

Mark

I get it delivered to Ontario.??

Interesting as when I joined the Owners Club they told me it was not available via mail and that I have to go to my dealer for a copy. It's fine actually, I prefer the online version of magazines these days.

But I'm going to ask Dockside next time I'm in spending money!

Hi Rusty,

Yes I can open the links!
Thanks for your concern!

I showed my wife those amazing photos of my 480 DB in there... Best looking boat Sea Ray ever made... I don't care what Webster says.

My wife says "Why did Rusty tell us our 480 is near end-of-life? Looks good in those photos."

Here I was all ready to buy a new Sea Ray.... oh wait... I don't even have a ticket to Yacht Expo this weekend... again... nevermind.

Ms. Susie Warren is cordially invited to attend the SR Yacht Expo event.....there, done.

I will have her bring back a brochure of the NEW boat you are going to buy in your absence.

Rusty told me the same thing. Who knew how prophetic he was?

Why was SR Yacht Expo event kept so quite?

I got my mag yesturday and just finished reading the artical. Honestly I felt very pround and honered to have attended. So I forget who actually invited me but a big thank you for that. I even made the magazine. Im the little white dot 2 boats behind knot 4sale in the tiny pic. And again very happy I joined this forum bringing me to meet so many respectfull fun and caring people. And I dont think I ever thanked rusty or searay for the lobsters and oysters so again another big thank you to all of you

Yacht Expo has never been a secret and is an event that is held at about the same time every year. I went to my first one in about 1990. However, it a selling event, unlike the Homecoming SR hosted in Knoxville in September that was open to all owners who registered. Invitations to Expo must come from your local dealer or from Sea Ray Management and usually only customers who are interested in buying a new boat and have been qualified by the dealer are invited to attend. If you want to come next year, get to know your local dealer and convince him you are interested in buying a new yacht or sport yacht.

On the customer side of this, if you are interested in buying a new yacht or sport yacht, there are serious incentives offered at Expo. I know there are boat show specials every year, but you will never buy a Sea Ray cheaper than you will at Expo. Sea Ray is interested in booking production slots for the slow months and management is willing to sell boats at very low prices just to recover the overhead created by idle production lines.

Thanks Frank. This pretty much explains everything.
