New Sea Ray 460 DA owner!

I closed on my new boat yesterday. A 2003 460DA, Cummings 8.3 6CTA. There are only 265 hours on the engines. I took it out for a short ride in Narraganset Bay yesterday. I will be hauling it for paint, fluid change, impellers, detail and wax. I hope to be splashed again within 10 days. I have a slip in Newport, RI for the summer.

Last night I took the owners manual to bed to do some reading. Best book I have read in a while. No.....I am not excited.

I woud love to hear from any others in the area and beyond!

Good for you! Our friends just bought the same boat from a CSR member (SmithBucks) a few weeks ago. What a great boat! Still like our 410DA too.
 
Hey, you guys need to stop this. I haven't even tried my boat yet to see how good or bad it is. Now I am chopping at the bit to see a 460DA.

You have a nice boat, enjoy her. The 460 is a big sexy boat though...

Best of luck to you! Beautiful model very nice! Also beautiful area we were up there last year to Newport and got out for a quick sail before spending the night in Providence. Got to see Fire On the Water. Love it up there!!!

I just took her from the seller's marina to another marina for maintenance. Beautiful day, calm water, 65 degrees.

I am also going to replace the Sea Ray Navigator. I think I am going to go with Raymarine C120. Anybody care to throw in their two cents?

Congratulations. I ended up putting in an E120 with an E80 (classic) stacked. Re-did the lower dash to accept the autopilot. I like the E series capabilities but I had to change to HD radar and digital sounder. Sirius weather works great though. James
 
Extremely nice boat! Way to go.

Curious though, how did you ever get a slip in Newport? My wife and I were there last fall trying to scout one out. No luck.
 
Congrats on the new vessel & welcome to CSR!!! I am hoping to do that upgrade or possibly the 540 in the future!! I really love that hardtop and the interior layout on the 460!!
 
I had a boat there years ago. Let me know if you still need a slip. I can ask around.
