New release of MacENC (Charting software for the Mac)

The people who make MacEnc also have a sister product, GPSNav that seems to offer the things that Macenc does not. Way points can be created with a mouse click and then moved with the mouse. They also seem to replicate to different charts of the same location, and in a couple of cases I've noted that the waypoints will appear in the margin of an adjacent chart.

I have used it a little bit last season for trip planning using hard copy printouts. I am currently experimenting with a hardware connection to my Raymarine. It requires a USB to serial interface to get the NMEA data stream out of the Mac.

Yeah... I figured out how to add waypoints with a mouse... still don't know how to move them with the mouse... Mac programs shouldn't be this hard or SLOW!

I thought Macs were for women - they like it hard and slow.

I'm on vacation in Puerto Rico so it's rum this morning. Maybe I'll switch to whiskey this evening - anything is possible in paradise.

Vacation? All bets are off and time is irrelevant. Rum, Whiskey, Beer, whatever...
