1986 25ft Sundancer
I'm Looking To Convert My Pumpout Porta-Potti To A
Manual PUmp Toilet With A 13 to 20 Gallon Holding Tank. I Have Removed
My Hot Water Tank Which Is Where I Plan On Putting The Holding Tank
The Bathroom And Where The Holding Tank Will Be Mounted Are on The Same Side
Of The Boat. Also The The Thru Hull Valve Is Already There And Is Closed Off (Previous Owner Installed)
So It Should Be Pretty Easy "I THINK"
I'm Posting To See If Anyone Has Done This Samething And Can Offer Any Advice And/Or Tips

My only comment would be to make sure you are doing this for your benefit.

By this, I mean do not justify this expense because you will sell the boat for more money when that time comes.

Last spring I spent $8,500 adding a generator. I expect this will increase my resale price when it comes time to sell by about $0.

I'm Not Looking To Up The Resale Of The Boat. Just Want To Make It More Enjoyable. It Only Holds 5 Gal. Currently, Which Isn't Alot When Your Out With A Group Of Friends. Not To Mention It Cost $10.00 Per Pumpout No Matter What Size Tank You Have.

I Recently Replaced The V-Berth Cushions, Foam & Fabric.
What A Difference. And Added A ProSport 12 Battery Charger. Just Used The 110 Cable From The Water Heater I Removed, Know We Can Run Any !2V Accessories And Not Have Dead Batteries

I did the same thing to my last boat ( 220 sundancer ). I removed the 5 gal porta potti and installed a manual head with a 20 gal holding tank in the engine room. I am looking for the post I did with pics, and will post a link here when I find it. It was worth it. I think I spent $500-600 for all the parts.
