New Problem..no battery power???

Laughs..I know your all patiently waiting to hear..

Bill and BT.. you guys had it.

The mechanic was pretty sharp I have to say. He was slightly stumped at first but as I had told him I had checked the helm fuse block and there was no power, he went to the battery. He had checked all the big breaker fuses (as we had already done-Thanks again guys) Tried to start the engine and nothing (like I said)
He starts pulling on the wires from the battery going forward..that fuse block you guys had mentioned..well he pulls on the negative going to an O ring connector which had the end taped up and guess what..the wire pulls out. He takes the O ring connector off and changes it with a new one and BINGO!
He says he was stumped but knew it was just the power issue and not lever/switch issue. We talked about how lucky I was that this didnt happen out on the water :)
Well brought engine up to idling and worked fine!! The toggle switch under the steering colum was for power to the stereo..we cant understand why the former owner had it put on but its there.
He checked everything and it all works GREAT!! Best $80 bucks I have spent this year.

Thanks again guys!

Glad it worked out for you.

Think of all the things this one problem has shown you. How the starting electrical system works that's worth 25 bucks.:smt001

You now have a checklist of things to check if you ever have a starting issue again.

Get out there and start enjoying your boat.
