New Problem..no battery power???

Thanks very much Bryan

Bill..thought you had it and mine is the same as yours..but nope it wasn't popped..GOOD TRY THOUGH!!
SeaRay has a ton of info on their website. I was amazed at what you can find. All my manuals are on my iPad now.

Bryan

Start from the beginning , did you connect ALL the battery cables
Did you locate the slave and jump the 2 large lugs
What were the results at the slave #5
or did you accidently reverse the connections and blow the 90A system fuse at the starter

Other thing you can do is get a meter and start testing for 12v beginning at the battery until you find the first place you should have power that you don't.

Got a mechanic coming Wednesday to have a look at it..may try a meter today though. I know it has to be something simple that is being overlooked.
Bill I thought for sure it was going to be that other 50 amp breaker near the battery that was the problem
Bt 100% sure I did not misconnect wires

this is the slave that should be mounted in this location ,short together the 2 lugs with the
green arrows and report back

Well then, they come from the mercruiser manual ,post the engine serial number .will see if there still available.
If there is no response jumping those lugs then the main harness plug is un plugged , the battery cable is broken or not connected or corroded at the neg connection, or the 90A fuse at the starter is blown.(square plastic looking block, if equipped)

Take the battery to the auto parts store and have it load tested. Make sure it has water in it if it is flooded. good luck

Master battery switch?

Sorry, when I posted this, I couldnt see all the other replies. :smt021

Thanks again guys for the suggestions!!
Bt.. mailbox cleared
Mike..thinking the battery may be the problem but..Trim works so horn, stereo, etc should work too
Bill..got Trim working fine now, switch was sticking, goes up and down fine (working)
Mechanic comes today so hopefully he will know the answer

Greg, this isn't too pertinent but I thought I'd let you know that when the emergency off toggle switch (with the lanyard) under the throttle is off, the starter will still crank the engine. It just won't fire and start.

Bt, he doesn't have power at the helm to engaged the slave solenoid. So jumpering will verify the breaker but not the solenoid. Could he just meter the back side of the 90a fuse to make sure it's not blown?

wrong. power comes from the 90A on the starter(if equipped) thru the 50A on the engine to the slave and thru the harness plug to the helm.jumping the slave will verify power and cable connections. Even with the harness plug unplugged ,power is there work the starter from the slave

Thanks for clarifying that. I read the specific wiring diagram that came with my boat differently. My boat didn't come with that diagram you posted in #39.

that diagram show both alt and main power to the 90A block. most have the alt or the main not both.
that is a diagram of the starting circuit only. year/serial number of yours
