I'm trying to learn a few things about our new boat. How do you clean the intake coils for the air? I was told you could remove the cover of the intake (underneath the TV) but it doesn't seem to come off easily and I don't want to break something.
Secondly, my batteries won't seem to run the fridges overnight without the generator on. Is this normal? I have a Crownline cruiser (24ft) with only one battery and it will run the fridge all day.

welcome aboard! I have had my 06 290 sinc July of 08. Just came home from ten days and 350 miles of cruising the LI Sound out to Block Island. The boat was fantastic. Take a little time and learn yours, I think you'll be happy with your choice. As for the A/C, lift the vee berth cushion and locate the mesh screen on the front of the a/c unit. It should slide up and out. A little soap and water did just fine for mine. As for the fridge, IMHO the 12 v setting will run down the batteries in about 6 hours w/o charging. Good luck

Welcome to the 290 family! Where in East TN are you? I am in Knoxville and would be glad to help you out with the little bit that I know. We have had our 290DA for less than a season, but, thanks to this board, running the boat, and the support of the selling dealership, I have already learned a ton of information. As posted above, check the 290DA thread. That is the first place to start. It is quite a bit to read, but you will learn so much from it.

Congratulations!
