Good Morning,

My wife and I have decided to purchase our first boat. We have bought a 1977 Sea Ray SRV200. The boat needs some TLC and minor repairs that I see. I am looking for an Owners operating and service manual for this boat.

We are planning on spending a lot of time fishing using this boat and also just enjoying the waters. We live in Michigan and will have several opportunities to use the boat.

If someone has manual or know where I can get manuals that would be greatly appreciated.

Boats are not like cars especially a 1977 Sea Ray. The hull is Sea Ray and like other boats of that age everything else is a accessory . With that said looking for info on the power plant will give you them most info. If you google search Sea Ray archives go to the owners site and scroll down you will find some information there. Good luck with your project.

Thank you TWorline. I wil see if I can download the manual.
Today I tried to start the engine for the first time. I am need of Points, Condensor, and possible a coil. Distributer cap and rotor look good but I might replace them as well. I was looking for the engine serial number but I am unable to find it. I am confident that it is a Ford 302 / OMC 190hp.
Where would I find the parts that I need? I am frustrated with most Auto Parts store because if it doesn't easily come up on the computer they say they can get the part.

After seeing that you have an OMC, I maybe of little help as I have Mercruiser. If you are sure it is a 302 Ford pull the spark arrestor off the carburetor to see if it is a 2 barrel or 4 barrel. With that information go to your local parts supply and tell them you need the parts for a 1974 Ford F150with a X barrel carburetor. That should get you non emissions parts. Points, rotors, plug wires, caps and spark plugs do not need to be "Marine" . It would be a good idea to get a Seloc Repair Manual for OMC Sterndrives, it will have gap tolerances for your points and plugs along with a whole host of information that you will need for your 46 year old project. Since our boats are older than most of the boat mechanics today youtube may become your best friend. I am sorry but you will have to find some one on here that has an OMC to find out what to beware of and of parts availability for your Sterndrive. I do know there is one OMC Sterndrive that you definitely do not want but I do not know what it is called or the years it was made.

Edit: The OMC Sterndrive that is undesirable is the Stringer drive if you what to look it up.

I have 1981 SRV195. Replacing the carb w a new marine Rochester quadrajet, new fuel pump and fuel filter, pumping out bad gas from tank, then water testing.

Had it buffed and ceramic coated w a marine grade ceramic and new boot stripes. Re-did the teak.

Converted roller trailer to bunk.

Fingers crossed.

Congratulations on joining the rare club. I have the engine manual. Let me know if you need some scans

I got the engine running. I had it running for a couple minutes. Put it in water and found the exhaust manifolds were cracked. I welded them and put back on the engine. It fired up and put it back in the water and found the block cracked. Now knowing it wasn't winterized properly.

I am looking for an engine and out drive for my boat. I have an OMC 190 302 Ford.
I am hoping to find a good running engine and out drive that I can replace with the current setup.

Edit: The OMC Sterndrive that is undesirable is the Stringer drive if you what to look it up.

Near impossible to find parts or anyone willing or able to work on them.

I'm not sure when the Stringer gave way to the Cobra, but either way OMC is a learning experience that I'm not glad to have gotten with my last boat.
