Though this is not my first post, as I was asking questions before buying, she is finally mine.

Now, this is going to be the longest winter of my life, waiting for boating season to come. My first boat, with lots to learn.

Congratulations!

(I believe all 260DA's had single engines)

Awesome, welcome and congrats. I loved, loved, loved, my '05 260. What a great boat... easy to captain, very fuel efficient, quick, and all the comforts of home in a smaller package. Have fun... I know I did!!

I've got a 2012 260. Replaced a couple of batteries but other than that, no problems. I Use it a lot, 150 hrs per summer. If you use yours that much, you'll learn to love it and you won't likely have any problems for a long time. If you don't run it much, expect anything to happen just when you least expect it.

Welcome aboard.

Hope you have it some where warm so you can go sit in it this winter. At least you have all winter to get all the things you will be needing come spring.

Unfortunately she is wrapped at the dealer for the winter. I can only enjoy pictures until spring :(

But it will give me a chance to go to a few shows and pick up all the essentials before the season hits.

The carpet in my 260 needs replaced with something. I would rather NOT have more carpet but I don't know what else is practical or available. My wife says some sort of hardwood laminate but I don't know if that's possible. Does anybody have any experience or advice about what is best?

Congrats. We just finished surveying our 2005 260 and decided it was the right one for us. Looking to splash on April 11th.

Hi Ed,
It's best to start another thread about your subject vs. hijacking this one...
