I purchased a Sailrite walking foot machine and replaced my brittle and discolored vinyl. Better quality than the original from Great Lakes. I was actually trying to order from Great Lakes all summer, but they were so backed-up, they would not take my order. This project took me about 1 1/2 days of disassembly and reassembly.

I am interested in getting into the business of boat canvas work, starting with small projects and repairs. If you have a need for new isinglass, zippers, or a new canvas for which you have the old piece to use as a template, I would be interested in working on your project.

No, but I would recommend Fred Fisher at Fisher Canvas. He made me a canvas winter cover, which is far superior to shrink wrap. This will be my fourth winter using the cover and it is still like new. I have friends who have gotten more than 10 winters of use from the Fisher covers.

I have a mooring cover that needs some repair, where you located?

Wow. This looks great. What would you charge for something like this ? Do you need access to the boat or do people send you the old ones ? Mine are stuffed

be careful there. In my experience once word gets out and you actually produce good work at a fair price, you will have yourself more business than you may want. My advice is to make sure you know when to say no;)
Good luck in your endeavor though. I have enjoyed doing several enclosure projects after being self taught.
Cheers

I agree with the above comment - people get overwhelmed quickly with canvas work.

Are looking to have vinyl windows replaced, or a whole new enclosure? I would need the old panels to use a pattern, unless you are located in NJ (it looks like you are in OH?).

I'm pretty handy and decent with crafting things. How hard is canvas work to learn once you have the right equipment? I have a couple of very talented sewers in the family (dresses not canvas) that can help show me some things, but I would love to make my own instead of paying $10K for a new camper top and glass.

Several of us here have done our own canvas work; me, because I can't find anyone around our area to do the work within reasonable timelines. Some of our experiences and lessons learned are posted in detail in this forum. Here is some reading -
