New (or Updated) 2015 Sport Boats?

Does anybody use the sinks in these boats? Everyone that I know who has one says they never use it (we don't use ours either).

I used the sinks on my 240SD and 280DA all the time for washing hands, dishes, etc. but never for drinking. I loved having a sink and it came in handy if I was fishing or the kids had sticky hands, washing the utensils after grilling...you name it. I wish I had one on my Cobalt.

Same here. Used all the time for exactly that. Usually burn through the freshwater tank in a weekend.

Interesting. I guess because we live on the water we don't use the boat for that type of stuff. I wish it was an option as I would much rather have the room for seating

Plus had mine upgrade with shore power. How else you going to run blender and george forman grill.

Nice!

Looks like an OB version of the new 270 Sundeck...

Don't forget the new 19SPX. Come in Outboard or Sterndrive. Outward appearance it does not look much different that the 190 sport in I/O configuration.
New SPX line of 19 and 21 foot sport boats s "broadly affordable SPX series, comprised of 19ft and 21ft models in several power and option configurations "
aka. Sea Liner

More pics of the SPX are showing up online (MarineMax, etc.). Looks like a completely new design from the keel up? This is definitely not a 190 with a new deck - check out the transom, as well as the molded swim platform. Very similar to the 210 and 230 SLX. really like the "stadium" seating. Nice! Can't wait to see pics (and get details) of the four packages. Also wonder if the new Mercruiser 4.5 will be available in this? Seems like Brunswick could/would/should give Sea Ray the first application of the engine?

Now that my boating season is over, I've got nothing but time on my hands to watch, wait, and ponder this. Ha!

I like that the swim platform is integrated. I hate myself a bolt on swim platform, especially if it adds to the LOA. why pay for bolt on length, its a rip off.

D'oh!

The galleries on the new models appear to have been locked down since I posted this...

Hope I haven't over stepped, as I know they've let folks know anout the photo site before!

No problem. If you can access it, then so can everyone. The SPX line will be the "entry level" models that SR has not really offered before.
Several builders have introduced these price point boats over the last few years, and they have sold very well, For instance, Chaparral has the H20 line that has sold extremely well, and is a big reason they now have the biggest market share in sterndrive bowriders in the sub 22ft. category. The addition of an outboard version, will help SR gain back some of the market share I'm sure. The SPX boats will be shown first in Cannes, France .

The SPX is just a new designation for the "SP" (Sport). It will not be competing with the H2O - the H2O competes more with the Bayliner brand. I'll see if I can dig up some other pics of the new models.

Dig dig dig!

:)

Even if priced as the current Sport series...very nice.

I really like the passenger seating flexibility, and finally...storage under the passenger side helm/dash!

And this will have a 21 foot version?

Well, that's kind of why I usually stay out of these types of threads (and I know that you are just jesting, Glenn). Given my signature, I know that some people will perceive my posts with a bit of a bias - as in "He's a dealer, of course he's going to say that". Those that know me though, know that I'm on this forum as a BOATER, not as a dealer. I just happen to be a boater that works at dealership and can sometimes provide help/advice in a way that others can't. Case in point, take a look at my posts and try and find one where I'm actively trying to solicit a sale. You won't find one. Other than occasionally putting a boat in the 'for sale' section, but even that is rare. The only time I've ever sold something is when someone has approached me looking for help trying to find some parts. Although, even then, I usually try to defer them to someone local.

It wasn't meant as a "dig". Just a fact (loosely using that term). For what it is, Bayliner is a fine boat. It's a 'price point' boat and it sells because of that point. There are different buyers for a Bayliner than there are for a Sea Ray. The same goes for the H2O - the buyer of a Sea Ray will likely not be interested in an H2O, and vice-versa. None of the materials, engineering/design focus, etc of the SPX's are designed with "price-only" in mind.

Here are the specs for the I/O & OB 19SPX (yes, there will be a 21', too).
Length: 19'6"
Beam: 8'4"
Fuel: 30g
Deadrise: 19*
Weight: 2739/2505
