IMO, and others can speak to this better than I can, with the 5.0 thunderbolt engine and Alpha drive for that size of boat, the numbers may be higher. Your boat is built like a tank (I have the newer version 22’ Weekender) and will be heavier than a typical runabout. I’d stay on top of basic tuning with coils, plugs, etc. so it runs efficient.Well, we have been using the boat and it is going great guns (see below).
Couldn't be happier with the purchase, price we paid, and condition it's in!
A last question though.
While all is good engine wise on all levels re cold starting, power transition and delivery, idle and consistency, it does seem to be going through a fair bit of fuel.
Quite a bit more than my old 1998 Four Winns Horizon 190 that had a Volvo Penta 5.7GL engine.
Any idea's on what may be happening or what I should check?
P.S.
Yes we run at near full throttle at times for in-efficient fuel economy, but no more than the old boat that didn't seem to have the same fuel burn rate.
Thanks again all in advance for any advise forthcoming...

The best years.A 2000 is an “older” model?
How should I refer to my 1986 SR?
