Hi All, I'm new to the site, great site, I have two questions. I have a 46-01-DA with 3126B Cats, they are all electronic, i just bought the boat in July of 07, wondering what kind of GPH other people are getting with the Cummins engine. With my readouts I burn about 36GPH @ 2400 @22MPH. 2nd question, Generator at the end of the season would only stay runing with the Preheat button depressed, replaced run relay didn't help. Bob, Great having you on the board. Frank will answer your question Iam sure, but this summer i got about 20-22gph at 2200. Your burn seems high to me. I took Franks and some other very knowledgable peoples advice on this board and ran slow but steady at about 22mph, 2200-2300rpm for a burn rate of about 20-22gph. Hope this helps. JC

I cannot help you with cat's, I newer had them in my boat, although I will soon repower my Wellcraft either with 3126 or 6bta, still did not decide...
Thing is about generator:
When you press the preheat button you turn on the glow plugs and disable alarms for low oil pressure and high engine temperature that turn the engine off, I would go with that...
Maybe you have faulty sensors, low oil, or (the worse) no oil pressure...
