Hi- Tom from Montreal here- been boating with a 270 SR SD for the past three years- just bought a 2002 38 SR SD out of Rochester NY- planning to sail her to Montreal within the next two weeks- have no experience with a boat that size, nor am i familiar with all her instruments- guess i'll just have to wing it- any advice would be appreciated.

Welcome....I reccomend studying paper charts before you go , which could alleviate navigation concerns. If your 270 was a single engine, you will find the280 will be easier to manuver. Spend a little time practicing backing and pivots before leaving Rochester. good luck and let us know how the trip was! Ric
