New member on Table Rock

Hello, I also boat on Table Rock. We have not had it out this year yet due to the flooding, and was not even sure the lake was open yet. I had heard it would not be open until Labor Day Weekend. We bought our boat at the boat show in Springfield last year, and love it. It would be nice to meet up with all of you sometime on the water. We try and get to the lake every weekend and boat around the Kimberling area. We will be putting our boat in the Dry storage there this year. It was just such a pain to trailor it from Ozark every time. Hope to see you around

We were out yesterday afternoon for several hours. There was a little bit of stuff in floating in the water, but not as much as I thought there might be. It was out first time out on the water this year. We have to take a pontoon out to our dock. We fianally got electric back on to our dock about a week ago.

The run to Arkansas is great. The lake gets kind of small down there. Don't know how much cruising we'll do this year, just have to see how the fuel consumption is on the new boat:huh:. I've seen all the specs from Boat Test, but I want to see it for myself

Bottom Line: We are just about done with our issues on the new boat, just one detail left. So far, MM has been very accomodating:thumbsup:. I can't say enough about the Nixa service department.

Yeh, we put in down at cricket sometimes. It is very nice if you have a camper. You do have to watch for floating debris esp. right now with all the flooding. I would not go past the cricket marina. At the marina though, you can sit and watch the goats on the cliffs. One fell off last year and floated over to the marina. It stunk for weeks. I highly recommend that trip though. Right after you enter Arkansas, you will go around a right hand turn then you will see a gap on your left. Dont go through it unless you are on a pontoon. Go on around. It is pretty shallow there.

When I see new boaters sign on I usually take a look at where your boating. Some ot the places look like alot of fun with all those coves to explore. I know some people from Green Forest-Alpena, AR area. Their not to far from Table Rock I think.

We spent this past weekend on the lake from Friday till Sunday. The water was cold (I went in twice) but it is clear. We coved out in Cow Creek with several others and had a blast. I hear the clearance for the 86 bridge is 12 feet "Yikes".
Of note of the news from my wife of our new boats toilet not working was "Honey is my PEE supposed to run out of this thing into this drain in the corner? I was not amused but now I can laugh about it. Cya's this weekend.

My water temp guage showed 71 on Sunday afternoon. I plan to be riding the Sea Doo this weekend....but not sure how much time I will actually be speding in the water.

Kurt...guess you will just have to tell your wife she will have to jump in when she needs to pee...:lol:

Hi guys, been awol for a while. Spent all weekend on the lake and was out at cow creek most of saturday too. We were SeaDooing (lol) and yes the water was cold my SeaDoo said 64 on Sat and 68 on Sun.

Amazingly enough we got under the bridge (hwy13) with about a 3foot clearence. I was more than NERVOUS, I was driving and hubby was on Sea Doo but before we got to the bridge I made him get switch and take the boat under.

Other than that, I can't wait to get back on the lake this weekend. We will probably be more over toward Mill Creek, if the water doesn't go up and we can still make it under that pesky bridge.

:smt043I like that... If the boat was gonna hit the bridge, it was gonna do it regardless of who was driving. He'd hear about it for the rest of his life if he hit that bridge. You women are smart. If its risky, stupid, or likely to be on the evening news, you step out of the way, and say "Honey would you...". But if its fun, exciting, or involves spending money, its "Honey! get the heck out of my way you dumba...".

 :smt100

Exactly!! I did NOT want to be the one responsible for hitting the bridge. He called me a wimp......but I say SMART!!

Hi kids....we had a great weekend on the water. I enjoyed the Aloe vera on Saturday night, heh. I got to see a few of you out there...each of you appeared to have an impacted smile.
Keep watch for our next event. Its an event that Marinemax has done at other locations for a few years and this will be our first annual..."Pirates of Tablerock". Its being held on June 15th <Fathers Day> and begins with registration at Tablerock Marina <formerly Rock Lane> and will be a digital camera scavenger hunt...it sounds like a blast. It will culminate with food, drink, music and prizes around 3:00pm. Part of the fun of this is...THE PIRATE COSTUMES!!! Heres the deal, Im thinking of a pirate character to portray and costume...I just want to hear ideas for SeaRay Rays "pirate name" I may actually have a surprise for the winning name submitted here.
My motto...."its just another day in paradise"

My wife will be going as First mate I.P. Freely.... lol. I was able to tolerate the cold but not for long. Hopefuly the can will be fixed by the weekend or the wife is going in as well.
