New member on Table Rock

Welcome to the board! There are a couple of members that boat down there, and I'm sure they will stop to say hello. Good to see another MO boater on board!!!

Highslice....welcome...I am a Table Rock Lake boater. Will you be leaving your boat in a slip...if so, where at?

Welcome aboard. We've got a couple Table Rock members. I'm sure they will chime in.

Highslice, we're very familiar with that area. We used to have a slip at Indian Point and we cruise to Cricket Creek, Arkansas at least once a year. We're now in a private dock at Aunt's Creek. The lake is a lot quieter there but the water on the James River arm is not as clean as the White River area of the lake. Of course, now it's all a mess! ;>)

We use the high and dry at Emerald Pointe. About 4 miles south of the dam, if you're not familiar with it.

We are very familiar with that end of the lake. We have friends with houseboats(they dock at State Park Marina) and have been back in a cove by those condos several times. We are down on Indian Point area at The Harbor.

Did you buy your boat from the dealer in Nixa or in St. Louis.

Hello Highslice,

Another table rock boater here. Welcome to the board. That is a great area of the lake, I love cruising down to Cricket Creek it's a beautiful ride. But any day on the lake is beautiful.

Actually, neither. When we bought our first boat at a boat show, we ended up dealing with a salesman from Lake of the Ozarks. We have been stuck with that store ever since - MM will not transfer our account to Nixa. That being said, the LOTO people have been good to deal with. The Nixa service department has been fantastic!

We've bought two Sea Rays from MM (Port Arrowhead) at LOTO -- our great salesman was "Sparky". Regarding transferring your account -- you can get on the mailing list for the Nixa MM so you hear about the Table Rock outings and events. We get mailings from both!

Welcome. I am new too. I fished table Rock on a few occations and love the clean water.

My wife is from Jeff City, so Missouri is our second home. I have used my Alaska river boat on the Big MO many times.

I go look at a Sea Ray next week to see what kind of work i am in for.

Hiya Highslice (sounds like one of my golf shots)....I'm thinking I spent time with you guys Saturday, here in Nixa. Thanks for the nice note, by the way. Our Tablerock boating family has a great time together and I cant wait till we're all able to get together again. See you guys around Memorial Day!!!!

Ray,
You are correct, you did spend time with us on Saturday:smt100. You can tell Joe that I wasn't lying to him, I do tout the Nixa service department on the board.

I am looking forward to Memorial Day, I now have more confidence that we will have a shiney new boat then. Hopefully the lake shrinks, or at least some of the timber that's floating makes its way to shore.

My golf shots are no longer high slices, but boy did they use to be - every one. I guess I should come up with a new name, but I've been using this for 15 years. With my last name, I had to come up with something unique to use as a username.

See you soon. We'll make it a point to get to one of the events.

Welcome highslice, as I too am a fairly new member. I bought a new 240 this year from MM in Nixa. I have placed my boat in Kimberling-high and dry but look to move down the lake to a permanant dock next year. I have seen a couple of those SLX's being demo'd this year and I have to say WOW what a cool boat. I can' t hardly wait for summer, COW CREEK here we come. Kurt

Kurt,
Where are you looking to move your boat to? We have had our boat in the Emerald Pointe High and Dry since 2004. I wouldn't do it any other way. I love having the boat out of the water and the sun, and not having to worry about a lift. We took the $25,000 we saved by not buying a slip and put it towards a condo.

We looked at the KC high and dry, but couldn't find a condo we liked up there. It is a nice facility.

We just found Cow Creek last year. Cruised past it on the way to KC, but never really noticed it. That's a great cove, we'll be spending time there this summer:thumbsup:.

Since my wife and I do not have kids we live pretty comfortable on our boat on the weekends. Fred my Basset gets a little tired of it but he sleeps a lot. I do agree high and dry is great for that reassurance that your boat is safe. I have been in POK for the last 3 years with a Crownline cuddy and it was always clean. But I am think I am ready to move out of Kimberling City toward the dam.
Cow creek is great cove to relax in because it is so far back off the main channel and there is limited wind. It is also shallow where you only need 30-50ft of anchor rope. But look out the holidays are a little crazy. Kurt

Hello, I also boat on Table Rock. We have not had it out this year yet due to the flooding, and was not even sure the lake was open yet. I had heard it would not be open until Labor Day Weekend. We bought our boat at the boat show in Springfield last year, and love it. It would be nice to meet up with all of you sometime on the water. We try and get to the lake every weekend and boat around the Kimberling area. We will be putting our boat in the Dry storage there this year. It was just such a pain to trailor it from Ozark every time. Hope to see you around
