Hi All,

Just joined this site after buying my first Sea Ray boat this summer. Looking forward to hearing from other members with similar boats about problems, fixes, and suggestions on how to get more fun from the boat with the least input of stress, strain, worry and cash.

I live in the Baltimore area, and am looking for good areas to launch (I have a MD Parks passport already), and suggestions for water sports and fishing areas. Right now we are launching out of Haver de Grace from the Lapidium boat ramp (watch out for the rocks... already got one a couple of weeks ago). Seems like a great areas, but you have to watch out for shallow water. I am still learning.......

That said, I troubleshoot equipment for a living, and don't have a problem getting my hands dirty or helping out someone else if I know the answer.

More info and some pics as I have time to add them.

Welcome.
Enjoy your new boat!

Welcome aboard. I don't trailer, but Mainers Point in Joppatowne is a good jumping off point for Hart Miller or just the Gunpowder or Middle River when the weather is right. Its a busy place!

I agree with Mariner Point, it is a public ramp and there is no charge, great facility although a little more parking would help. I launch my bowrider there and sometimes just hang out on the T head for a bit to watch the activity. Harve de Grace is to far north for me.

Welcome aboard

John

Thanks for all the replies!!!

I will give Mariners Point a try, and that is closer to home for me than Haver de Grace as well. I am still working out what conditions are safe for me to be out in a small bow rider, and have been erring on the side of caution.

I have also been considering giving the boat ramp at Ft. Armisted another try. I pulled up there once with a bass boat, but thought better of it when I saw the waves (about 2 feet that day).

This is also a test of the photo I loaded into the sig, it should work.......:smt101
