Hi,

I'm Glenn and I've had my new 2008 310 Sundancer called Blue Moon for about a month. I wonder is that why we're having near gale force winds in South Florida every day now?

Anyone else with this model who has any stories to tell?

Wecome aboard Glenn.

There are a couple of the new 310's in the marina I slip in. I like the lines (I must since I have the smaller version - 290DA)

Nothing but stormy weather up this way lately too.

Lots of good info on the board here...

Hi Glenn,

Congrats on the new boat. Of course the minute you get the boat and want to use it, the weather doesn't cooperate...That's usually the way it goes.

Where do you keep your boat? I'm in Fort Lauderdale...Usually it's during the week when I'm too busy to use it that the winds die down the the ocean lays flat. Lately it's been pretty rough, and I can't imagine the Gulfstream right now...

The intracoastal shouldn't be too bad to cruise around in. You should sign up for the Aquapalooza event up at Boca Lake in July. In the meantime, I'm sure the winds will die down in a few days and you'll get to enjoy the new boat!

I just took delivery last Thursday of our 310, 2008. I overheated the grill though this weekend trying to cook hamburgers. Watch out, you don't want to leave the cover down. Ours heated up and shut down on the GFIC in the plug. It does that to prevent overheating. You have to wait 20-30 minutes for it to cool down to use it again. We ended up with the hamburgers in the frying pan (UGH). Only went out the once, bad weather here also.

Thanks for all the replies - I keep the boat at a marina next door here in Hobe Sound - Loblolly Bay. Beautiful place but no services or fuel. I may move it to our club in Port Salerno when there is an opening.

I didn't order the electric grill - it just seemed way too much money and I don't like the idea of needing to crank up the generator to run it. I have a propane grill, but am still looking for a way to mount it.

Weather is right lately, but my wife just broke her wrist and can't handle the dock lines and I can't manage it myself. The boat is OK though - that's the important thing.

For what it's worth, it's a well thought out boat and I love it.
